Uninstall Norton Go Back Or Norton Ghost

Norton Go Back constantly monitors your system and records significant changes. Like Norton Ghost, it makes an image of your disk in the boot record. This means that you cannot uninstall it via conventional methods (Norton software or START>Control Panel>Add/Remove)

First, determine if Norton Go Back or Norton Ghost is on your computer. If you do not find it in your Programs Directory or START menu, you can run our free demo or software, selecting "Go Back" in the drop down menu of Section 1.

If you have Norton Go Back, you will need to back up your entire computer before proceeding to use our software, because removing Norton Go Back or Norton Ghost by ANY method, may result in having to reformat your computer and reinstalling everything. Sorry, but we have found no way to eliminate this risk.

(We use and recommend www.carbonite.com for complete back up of your system. It is only $49.95 a year and has a free 15 day demo. That comes to only about $4.00 a month....nothing if you loose everything!)

Our software will NOT uninstall Norton Go Back or Norton Ghost. However, we do have a technician available who knows how to uninstall Norton Go Back and Norton Ghost. It will take longer and therefore cost a little more than our typical uninstall service. The benefit to you is that you will not have to reformat your hard drive to do it.

Thanks for the help getting Karen's machine settled with the Norton Uninstaller.

I had used the Vista program uninstaller and then used this program and there were several more files and entrys under Norton and Symantec that I was able to eliminate.
